This is just a page for more casual talking about games I'm playing.

So, I've played the first few missions of both campaigns, but my current WH40k kick has sidetracked me into my first real playthrough of Mechanicus. I'm on my 16th deployment with 33 awakening, which is pretty good, I think. Four rank 11 Tech Priests. The game definitely gets easier as it goes, so far, but maybe it'll get hard again. The release of the Avernum 4 remake also got me on my 1000ths replay of Avernum 1. Enjoying that, as always.

Finished Frozen Throne today, and then played Act 1 of the Bonus RPG campaign. I'm on the verge of starting Total Annihilation.

Finished orcs

I did finished Space Marine 2, on the 9th. It was alright. Nowhere near the best Wh40k game like I saw claimed. I can think of at least seven better. Right now, I just finished the undead campaign for Warcraft 3. I only turned the difficulty down to normal on the last mission where you have to defend Kel'Thuzad for 30 minutes.Kel'Thuzad died in the last wtenty seconds of the timer, three times in a row. Then, on normal, the mission was way too easy and I wiped out the huge assault and lost only a few towers and nearly no units the whole map. No middle ground! Why was that map such an insane spike in difficulty on hard?

Starting Chapter 3 of Boltgun, but I might quit here. I feel like this game is way too repetitive and the encounter design is lacking. And the map design is very samey. These tend to be problems with most arena shooters, of which, the only one I've ever enjoyed beginning to end was Turbo Overkill. I guess I didn't get bored of DOOM (2016) too. I started Space Marine 2 today, and haven't plated Warcraft 3 in a few days, I might resume that shortly.
4/10/25
Yesterday, I started Warcraft 3, and beat the five Orc Prologue maps, and the first five Alliance maps, all on Hard. Going pretty smoothly! Today I also started and finished Space Marine, the game. It was alright. I am now starting Boltgun as it is also set on Graia, dealing with the aftermath of Space Marine.
2/10/25 - All four Warcraft 2 campaigns completed!

These campaigns got rather difficult, and were usually at least challenging, even from the very first maps. But they're done and over. That's one goal from childhood ticked off. Time to legitimately beat Warcraft 3 without cheating.

Up to missions 9 of both WC2: BTDP campaigns now, and played the first few hours of Silent Hill f and FFT remake both. I've never played a Silent Hill before, just watched an LP of the first game. As for FFT, I haven't played it since the War of the Lions was a new release, 18 years ago. I remember liking the story, but not the gameplay, but so far I'm enjoying playing this!

Hooo boy, in the last nine days, I got a bad throat and jaw infection, finished both Warcraft 2 campaigns, and started Warcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal. I am currently on Mission 7 for both Alliance and Horde. And boy, they went at it with this expansion. It's much more challenging, I've had to start spamming towers around my bases or else it'd be impossible to get any attacks done. I haven't played Hollow Knight since I got sick, but I did beat Broken Vessel, and it dream form upgrade, Lost Kin the day before I got real bad. Been on so many painkillers it's crazy. Stronger and stronger antibiotics too, and still it goes.

Slaughtered the fourth boss, the Dung Defender, in Hollow Knight, and then I did the first two missions of both the Horde and Alliance campaigns in Warcraft 2 Remastered. This is the real nostalgia hit for me, since I spent a lot of time playing Warcraft 2.
19/09/25
I finished the whole orc campaign in a day. That's one thing off the huge bucket list. I'll probably
never play this ever again too. I didn't have Warcraft 1 as a child so I have no nostalgia for it,
unlike 2 and 3.

I've spent the last week not gaming to any great degree, though I have played a bunch of Warcraft 1: Orcs & Humans Remastered maps here and there, and am now on the penultimate map of the human campaign.
Look at these doofy little guys.
I also played like a few hours of the original Hollow Knight. But mostly I have been idling and doing little at all!!!

Ahaha, I've been too busy drawing, working on learning CSS and fiddling around in RPG Maker MZ to game much lately, though I did manage to finish Chapter 3 of Part 1 of Zaku Zaku Actors... The Second Great Hagure War... is over...

The last few days I reached Chapter 10 of Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, and when I had finished the map, either the game crashed while I was doing inventory management, or the emulator messed up! At that point I decided to just start a romhack I had heard was good, for FE8 called The Morrow's Golden Country. I am already up to Chapter 11 and greatly enjoying it. The Lord is a gay magic girl Lord. I think the writing is pretty decent too!
I also did most of the sixth stratum of the Dimensional Tower in ZakuZaku Actors, which I've been playing since before I even started making this website. It's a long game.
29/08/25 7:05am - Wow!!!! Chapter 7 and 8 of Fire Emblem 1 both kinda blew
but I got a lot of XP from the literally 50+ dudes that come in as reinforcements Barst went from level 8 to 19, and marth from 8 to 15. Most everyone else got one or two levels. Merric got four. I enjoyed Chapter 9, though.
26/08/25 2:09am - I had to redo Chapters 1 and 2 because I decided to setup Retroachievements to keep me from abusing save states!
Hiiiiiiii! I had to redo Chapters 1 and 2 because I decided to setup Retroachievements to keep me
from
reward me for not abusing save states!
Look! I'm doing it. I'm starting Chapter 3 now!
My strategy for Chapter 2 was to leave Marth and Oguma at the starting area to fight the mooks coming
from
the north and collect a new recruit, while everyone else went west in a big deathball right down
the middle with no finesse or subterfuge whatsoever.
It worked flawlessly!!!!!

On this map, I wanted to try something new, so my strategy will be to leave Caeda and Abel to fight the mooks coming from the north and collect 3 new recruits while everyone else went west in a big deathball right down the middle with no finesse or subterfuge whatsoever.

It worked flawlessly!!!!

Healers don't get XP from healing in this, only from dodging attacks, so I park Lena on a fort for a while. Her level ups suck. She gets one weapon level and nothing else, not even hp, from three level ups.
I also found this story from the briefly released and then delisted official english localisation of this game and its manual. Cruel thing to do, Nintendo. Fucked up even. Making a game only temporarily buyable to try drive more sales is evil. Anyway, now I actually know whats happening in the story.
New face. Man, Uncaring About All The Pain And Suffering Surrounding Him.
24/08/25 11:13pm - Starting a Fire Emblem Journey.
Hiiiiii! I'm playing these for the first time. I've only played a little of Fire Emblem 6 and like a
decent
third of
Fire Emblem 7 and Three Houses or something before this.

This game just throws you right into it with no intro or cutscene! Pirates from Garda are attacking,
Mars/Marth!!!

Ahhhhhhh these portraits are so good. Sly Armoury Man and Smug Binch Villager are new favs.
And check out the pirates attack animation!!!!!!

This map is just two screenshots and is not 100% accurate since there's some overlap in the middle. My genius strategy to handle this pirate horde is going to be to send everyone west in a big deathball right down the middle with no finesse or subterfuge whatsoever.

It worked flawlessly!!!!!! I saved da sneepy king

And I got to meet a cute Mysterious Save Screen Girl?? WHO IS SHE
